Financial Literacy;What's Your Money Story?

As I interact with a host of people around me,I see a common yet different view on "Money" and the place it takes in the lives of people.It's common knowledge that we all have our different money stories.From the days we lived with our parents,left off for college,got a job or started a business outright or by the side,got married,build or bought a home and some few other doodads.Its nostalgia juxtaposed wit mixed feelings if we are reminiscence of past memories.And for those just starting out,observation is a test of history,I tell you.
It's rather amazing to note that many people went to school and never learn t anything about money and the workings of the modern markets.Ignorance has killed many souls than cancer and AIDS put together!Yet,we live in an information age of unprecedented openness,nearly everyone knows what everyone is doing.I wonder why many are not learning and adapting to conspicuous changes.Rather may be there is a dare need to start unlearning things we grew up learning about money,wealth and investment.We may as well have begun a journey on these learning curves.
My Money Story began back in 2005,coming into a new city I decided to go into business for myself.Real Estate came to the fore after a due diligence check on the environment and my gut-instinct.Armed with only about 5$ on me I negotiated with a few real estate agents in town to bring them clients cos,I got no property and practically knew nobody out-there.I was bold and daring I must say.This simply meant that traffic and speed of turning the highest number of clients was my greatest chance for survival.They were turned-in to the admiration of my seniors who always wondered where I got the clients from since I was knew in the trade.A simple strategy of placing an ensign at three different hot spot on the major roads of the city brought the traffic.
From there,I provided janitorial services,and went on to build a real estate company that did millions in sales.
